Cirini's Gift

By ANTIcarrot

Cirini looked at the open package she's been sent, then back at the silver-plated crowbar she was holding in one hand. It was, um, *nice* to get gifts, but somehow she couldn't help but get the feeling they'd meant to put someone else's name on it instead. Except that it had a second nametag on the inside, along with luxurious feeling red silk padding.

That was another thing, crowbars often has a rough texture to improve their grip, but this was smooth, with all the sharp edges rounded off, with the tongues on the curled end also being flexible, like rubber. Besides which it far too light to be a steel crowbar. The battery compartment and switches near the other end didn’t make sense either.

"I don't get it," Cirini said.

Syzygy and Sunstreak looked on from the next table where they were slipping at some coffee. They glanced at each other before mutually deciding that neither of them want to explain this one.
