PERSONALITY:  Matt's your typical teenage punk from our world.  He’s rude, loud, obnoxious, moody, blunt, and tactless.  He hates being bored, authority figures, and depending on others.  He doesn't see that most of his problems are really his own fault due to his temper and immaturity, and even though that's a major drawback for him, he's actually a pretty smart guy.  He thinks fast on his feet, and he's got a surprising amount of courage. Even though he'd never admit it, he's got a good heart and will stick his neck out for those who need it.  

HISTORY: Matt has never had to worry about much of anything in his life other than getting a detention or getting caught by the cops for underage drinking.  While on vacation with his parents in Las Vegas, Matt managed to steal a strange puzzle from an unlocked case in an oddities museum for the heck of it, and transport himself into an alternate parallel dimension.  After knocking himself unconscious from hitting a tree, he was found by Shira, who happened to be traveling in that direction and took pity on him.  Since then, they've been constantly driving each other crazy and he’s been trying to catch a clue ever since to escape becoming monster bait.

MAGIC/SPECIAL ABILITIES: Matt's still learning how to use a short sword under Shira's guidance, and it's been discovered that because he's from another dimension, he's immune to magic.  To help him better adapt to this world, Queen Fala gave him a Vest of Useful Items, which by reaching into it's pocket, will give the wearer whatever they need the most at that moment in time...though sometimes you won't always know exactly why it's given it to you.

TRIVIA:  Matt was the most difficult GB character to design.
Matt changes what color his hair is dyed frequently. He just finished a new dye job the day he disappeared from his world.
Matt's a light smoker and has been since he was 15. Part of his tetchiness is nicotine withdrawal.
He loves video games but thinks RPG's are for losers.
Matt has a small but close group of friends back home, but otherwise is a popular target for bullys.
