PERSONALITY: Shira tries her best to live up to the title of “Princess" but hasn't quite gotten it down yet. She’s prim and proper, but she can also have a bit of a temper when people, namely those in her party, don't take her seriously. She’s conservative, practical, patient, well organized, and level-headed. She’s a very kind and compassionate person, but a fierce fighter when it comes to defending her beliefs and her people. She tends to play her cards too close to her chest, and is a bit self-conscious of her abilities and her dragon heritage.
HISTORY: Shira is the quarter-dragon daughter
of King
Daray. She wasn't born into royalty,
but raised at the castle courts since she was seven years old starting
life as
a kitchen servant. From there she was
trained in everything from diplomacy to sword fighting, and was skilled
to the
point she even became the human prince's personal bodyguard. But she messed up somehow the night the coup
for the country was staged, and nearly got them both killed by Akando,
something she tries to keep as quiet as possible. She
spends most of her time traveling around acting as a liaison
between rebel groups, and searching for the lost human heir to the
human
throne. After being attacked by
goblin
bandits, Matt saved her life. She has a
bond debt to him now where she has promised to help him get back to his
own
world. This is proving to be tricky for
her, because she’s leading a group of people who are about as
cooperative as a
herd of cats through the hazardous world of monsters and politics (same
difference). She wants desperately not
to mix Matt up into some of the darker aspects of her life, which she
is afraid
she won't be able to protect him from. MAGIC/SPECIAL ABILITIES: Shira knows some miscellaneous spells, but most of her power lies in being an Empath, which means she can sense emotions of people around her. She can tell when someone is coming even when she can't see them yet, and she knows when someone is telling the truth or not. Her dragon heritage makes her stronger, faster, and tougher than an average human, and her hands and feet are scaled white dragon talons she can use as weapons in a fight. TRIVIA: Shira is the most difficult character in GB to draw. Her look is never the same twice! QUOTE: “I'm the
